Top 5 TV shows of the year 2015
2015 has been quite the year for TV shows. There was huge slack to pick up after the likes of Breaking Bad and Dexter aired their finales. There was certainly a hole in all of our lives when they were put out to pasture but there are plenty of worthy pretenders to the throne this year. I will be listing the top 5 TV shows of the year for your delectation.

Game of Thrones – HBO NOW / NowTV
Everyone knows Game of Thrones and its fifth season rounded up earlier in the year but it certainly set up the next season with a bang. I was initially very wary of Game of Thrones, I am not much into the fantasy setting but after my other half coercing me into watching I am glad I took the plunge. The characters themselves are worth the admission alone, make sure to catch up in time for the sixth season set to premiere April of next year.
Peep Show – All 4
Whilst the eighth series wrapped up in 2013 a ninth is on its way set to broadcast before the years end. I am a big lover of Peep Show, in my eyes it is one of the greatest sitcoms ever created. Wonderfully fleshed out and interesting characters, unfortunate situations and down to earth, relatable humour. You can watch all previous series on All 4 (previously known as 4oD).
Mr. Robot – Amazon Video
Disclaimer: I haven’t seen Mr. Robot myself but my family are stern advocates of the show, even looking at just IMDB we can see a 9/10 rating. It is all about cyber warfare and poses some rather interesting questions about the ethical nature of hacking. I think I may have to start watching this one!
Fargo – Amazon Video
I love the film adaptation of Fargo, a tale of a murder investigation in a small rural town in which the sun never sets. Fantastic performances all across the board. A spin off TV show was created and was met with critical acclaim, the second season has just started this year and seems to be even better than the first.
BoJack Horseman – Netflix
Whilst the first season was met with mixed reviews the second season has really picked up in quality and has been met with acclaim all round. The show centres on a former sitcom star of whom happens to be half-man and half-horse. This animated comedy features some familiar voices, Aaron Paul most notably, the
Jesse Pinkman actor in Breaking Bad.
There we have it the top 5 TV shows of the year. There is plenty there to keep you entertained throughout the last few months of this year. Next year seems like a belter for TV shows. I can’t wait personally for Game of Thrones Season six, it is going to be fantastic.
