That is over 95 million homes that this TV station is being broadcast to. Lifetime was the result of a merger between the Daytime channel and Viacom’s Lifetime Medical Television. How to unblock Lifetime with Smart DNS?
In order to unblock Lifetime outside the US you need the likes of Smart DNS. What Smart DNS does is reroute your information through a server in the country of origin of the website you are trying to access. It is simple to set up too; all it takes is a simple switch of your current DNS addresses with the ones we give you. There are no servers to switch and perhaps the best thing for streaming content; Smart DNS does not affect your internet speed. Smart DNS also works across a wide array of devices, so the likes of games consoles, streaming boxes and smart TVs are all supported if they allow you to change your DNS values. It wasn’t always good for Lifetime as in their first two years of operation they lost a reported $36 million but after the initial shaky couple of years, Lifetime started to turn a profit. Life time initially started as a Talk TV station with rows of chat shows and call in programs hosted by the likes of Regis Philbin and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
In 2009 Lifetime was acquired by A&E Television Networks and they began on modernizing the TV station. In 2012 a new logo was announced alongside a new branding campaign. A new slogan was introduced “Your life. Your Time” but was soon dropped the following year.
Lifetime is geared towards more female friendly programming, it was aimed at women aged 24-44 years old but Lifetime found that the husbands usually sat down in the evening with their wives. Lifetime started to move their original programming in a way that both parts of the relationship could enjoy. They did this by adding more masculine elements; this was most evident in the film series Spencer for Hire.
Lifetime has changed over the years though and today they are very much focused on those women aged 24+ demographic. The programming available on is split up into three categories; Film, reality and drama. Lifetime has given us Dance Moms and Preachers’ Daughters in term reality and in terms of drama on offer are the likes of Devious Maids and Witches of East End. It is worth noting too that Lifetime offers syndicated reruns from the likes of Frasier, How I met your Mother and Grey’s anatomy.
