I think for those of you that are looking for a brand new TV show to sink their teeth into and you are more into stories than any sort of action then Bloodline is a fantastic candidate. It can be slow at times but it is integral to developing the characters stories and manufacturing a connection for the viewer to have with the various personas.
Bloodline is a very peculiar beast, I can see that Netflix and really pushing the envelope on a lot of the original programmes they are making. They are trying out stuff like different release periods and the like and it is quite refreshing. Bloodline is also available in 4K so maybe those with 4K TV’s are thirsty for some 4K content and I think Bloodline is a fantastic use of your time and technology.
I don’t know if releasing every episode on the same day will ever be a good idea business wise but for the viewer it is fantastic not having to wait week after week for an episode to release, with the way we are moving to streaming and on demand everything it seems releasing all episodes at the same time could be the way forward. I find a lot of the time episodic formats really just serve to ruin the flow. I don’t think we’ll be seeing the likes of Game of Thrones adopting the same method but I think for smaller series.
