New SmartyDNS Windows App Version (V4)
We’ve got great news for all our Windows users - we just launched a new app version (version 4) for the OS. It comes with a ton of improvements that will offer you a really convenient experience.
So make sure to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible - just download the new version and install it right now.
What’s New With Version 4
The first thing you’ll notice is the login screen. From now on, you won’t have to use your VPN username and password or Smart DNS key to log in.
All you’ll need is the email address and password you use to sign into your account on our website.
Yep, it’s gonna be that simple.
And that’s not all - you’ll also get direct access to both your Smart DNS and VPN services in one place. No more having to log in separately for each service.
Forgot your account password for the website? No problem - you can easily reset it right here.
Besides that, we also added other things:
- New design - We improved the UI to offer you a much more user-friendly and comfortable experience.
- Improved DNS leak prevention - We took measures to strengthen our service’s DNS leak protection. You can now use three different types of DNS addresses: SmartyDNS DNS, OpenDNS, and Google Public DNS.
- New update process - We tweaked the update process to save you more time. Updates will now happen much faster and simpler.
- Code improvements - Our Windows app’s code received an overhaul to make it much more stable.

PLEASE NOTE - If you have the previous app version installed on your device, you will have to download and install the new one too. The previous app version won’t display any notifications about the new update, so we urge you to do the manual update ASAP.
